Hands and Feet

Autumn seems to have struck … A misty morning, temperature low – what a shame we have  been asked to wear sandals. Moving to the place under the beech tree we love so much we began with a Litany from the Iona Community Worship Book The God of Columba  The litany reminded us of those… Read more »

Bring and share at the bandstand

One of the things I love most about our times at the bandstand is the constant sense of surprise at what comes! This morning, instead of one of us preparing and leading the session, we had a ‘bring and share’ arrangement. It turned out to be poignant and moving beyond expectation. The Wonder of the Periodic Table.

On a very mild and dry Sunday morning Third Space met as usual at the Bandstand in the park in Matlock.  The topic for our worship was the Periodic Table of the Elements.   Most people I think will have a sense of wonder and awe at the scale and beauty of the Universe, and a feeling… Read more »

Bonfire night at Holly House

It’s taken us five years to do it, but this year we celebrated bonfire night together round a fire, with mulled wine, winter punch and parkin. We had  sparklers and plenty of laughs – especially when Jon’s ‘noiseless’ fireworks proved ear-splittingly loud (that salesman really saw you coming Jon!) and we sat around the fire sharing… Read more »
